Valu Ford and Chrysler

Mar 24, 2020

Dodge is one of the most recognizable brand names in the auto industry. Founded more than a century ago in 1900, this American auto manufacturer has grown from a subset of the Chrysler brand to make a name for itself on the mainstream auto market. Dodge is associated primarily with sports and luxury cars. However, Dodge can do more than just muscle cars. Their current new Dodge vehicles lineup includes everything from commuter-friendly passenger sedans to full-size SUVs—and, of course, a selection of ultra-sporty cars as well.

It’s not an easy feat to stay relevant on the mainstream auto market for more than 100 years. Dodge has achieved just that, however, with its continued cutting-edge innovations that have transformed and revitalized the auto market time and time again. Dodge has been the mastermind behind some of the most iconic vehicle models on the American car market.

Most recently, Dodge released some exciting upgraded models for the 2020 model year. If you’re in the market for a new Dodge model or are just a car lover or Dodge fan who likes to keep up with what Dodge is doing, keep reading to learn more about three of the top-rated models in Dodge’s vehicle lineup for 2020.

1. 2020 Dodge Charger

The Dodge Charger is one of the most recognizable cars on the road. This mid-size car is one of the faces of Dodge that virtually everyone can immediately place as one of the iconic cars Dodge has produced in the last 100 years. Although the Dodge Charger did not receive as many major updates as were hoped for for the 2020 model year, it still manages to remain relevant on the modern mainstream auto market—and will likely get a major overhaul and redesign for the 2021 or 2022 model year.

For the 2020 model year, the Dodge Charger is back and better than ever. It is available with four different classic engine options: a 3.6-L V6 engine, a 5.7-L V8 engine, a 6.2-L V8 engine, and a 6.4-L V8 engine. All four of these engines pack plenty of power, with the 2020 Dodge Charger delivering up to 707 horsepower on the road.

Two widebody packages are brand-new for 2020 for the Dodge Charger for the 2020 model year. The SRT Hellcat widebody and the Scat Pack widebody packages add width and sporty style to the Dodge Charger and introduce exciting new options for this classic, iconic mid-size car. A variety of wheel options and a Satin Black Appearance styling package are also newly available for the 2020 Dodge Charger.

2. 2020 Dodge Challenger

The 50-year-old Dodge Challenger has been in its third generation for 12 years, so Dodge drivers weren’t in the wrong to expect a next-generation reveal for the 2020 model year. Unfortunately, the Dodge Challenger is still in its third generation for 2020.

However, the 2020 Dodge Challenger does bring with it some exciting new trim levels and packages that help soften the blow of its continued lack of a new generation reveal. The most notable of these additions is the introduction of the limited-edition 50th Anniversary Appearance Package for the 2020 Dodge Challenger. This special package celebrates 50 years of the Challenger being in Dodge’s vehicle lineup with a Gold Rush paint job, a shaker hood, and a variety of “50” logos that accent the classic style of the 50th-Anniversary Challenger.

3. 2020 Dodge Viper

The Dodge Viper is an iconic sports car that has been around for decades and has already made one very successful comeback on the mainstream auto market with its first revival.

The Viper’s second revival is expected to make an appearance for the 2021 model year, which means iits next-generation reveal could happen sometime during 2020. Dodge fans everywhere eagerly await the release of the revived Viper, which is expected to hit the auto market with a brand-new naturally aspirated V8 engine that offers incredibly competitive power and delivers more than 700 horsepower on the road.
