Sales Consultant Job Requirements:

  • Previous sales or customer service experience, auto sales or similar preferred.
  • Valid Minnesota driver’s license and an acceptable, safe driving record. Driving and parking vehicles is required for this job.

  • Weekend Availability (average 2 Saturdays a month)

Sales Consultant Responsibilities:

Reports to: Automotive Sales Consultants report to the New and Used Sales Managers, General Sales Manager, and General Manager.

  • Greet customers when they arrive at the dealership and help them find what they need.
  • Sell vehicles by understanding and demonstrating vehicle characteristics, capabilities and features.
  • Act as a liaison between the customer and dealership by building positive rapport, trust, and relationships with customers while navigating through the various stages of the sales process.
  • Offer educated information, suggestions, and various amenities and add-ons for a wide variety of vehicles.
  • Provide sales management information by completing reports in a timely manner.
  • Enhance dealership reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; explore opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  • Provide top-notch service throughout the customer buying experience.
  • Spend time with customers to determine their needs and discuss best vehicle options.
  • Commit to becoming an automotive expert and gain in-depth knowledge of vehicles and technology, participate in educational opportunities and continuous training.
  • Basic computer skills: using various provided software as selling tools.
  • Log interactions with customers in CRM and follow standard processes maintaining a customer database of regular communication including special follow-up calls after a sale has been closed.
  • Collaborate with team members to reach sales targets; offer strategies to help achieve goals.
  • Assist with the set-up of the showroom and promotional displays.
  • Obtain necessary documentation from customers to allow for test drives.
  • Maintain sales floor and lot, ensuring products are neatly displayed.

Valu Ford & Chrysler is looking for a Parts Associate to join our team. We are looking for an organized team player who is committed to customer satisfaction. Wage will depend on experience.

Qualifications

  • Must be a people-person with a friendly personality
  • Computer proficiency
  • Team-oriented, flexible, high level of customer service
  • Automotive knowledge, understanding of automotive parts and mechanics preferred
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Responsibilities

  • Automotive parts or technician experience is required.
  • Assist in keeping a clean and organized inventory.
  • Work with Service Advisors, Technicians, and Managers regularly.
  • Answer phones and assist clients in a professional manner.
  • Locating parts in inventory.
  • Tracking incoming and outgoing parts for the dealership.
  • Handling payments on parts sales.
  • Ensure all parts are billed correctly through the service department.
  • Packaging and shipping parts back to the manufacture as needed.
  • Assist Technicians and customers in dispensing and purchasing needed parts and supplies.

  • Perform diagnostic and repair procedures with any of the following: Gas or diesel engines, automatic or manual transmissions, electrical, steering, suspension, braking, air conditioning etc.
  • Provide labor time estimates and explain cause and repair to service advisor
  • Attention to detail and following processes
